Upcoming prompts for the week of October 25th – 29th, 2021

It is hard to realize that we have reached the end of October. The month didn’t feel as short as September and there is less shock at reaching the end of the month. I think that part of this is that the weather actually turned. It really feels like fall now. Most of September still felt like summer so it was hard to mentally reconcile it. At least for me. Today with the sky low, rain pelting the ground and the temperatures causing me to reach for my cardigan, it feels like fall.

So let’s see what prompts we get to use to take us to the end of the month. Ready?

Monday, October 25th: Smoke curled gently upwards.

Tuesday, October 26th: The bell over the door dinged.

Wednesday, October 27th: Everything was covered in dust.

Thursday, October 28th: He tilted his head to the side.

Friday, October 29th: He rubbed the sore spot on the back of his head.

Those look like they could prove interesting. I suppose we will see as they each have their day in the sun. As for now, back to the shadows they go. I find if I pay too much attention to them before I write them then i will start making up stories before it is time to do so. As always next week you are welcome to join me in writing each day’s prompts. If you don’t like the order, you can shake it up. You can do as many or as few as you desire. Or you could do none of them and just see what I come up with. Regardless, I will be back here bright and early Monday morning with the first on the list. Well, maybe not bright. But definitely early.
