Ah yes the Wednesday write in, and a Wednesday where the world is working like normal. I like both of those things. It would be nice if the crazy could stick to the after hours time slots, but I’m afraid life doesn’t always work that way.
Today’s write in exercises are some fun ones. They are about taking the story past the expected ending point. In all stories thee is a beginning a middle and an end. If it is a good end, it wraps up all of the loose little threads that were woven throughout the story. If it is a great story than the end is both inevitable and surprising. Inevitable because the path where you have led your readers is reaching a logical conclusion, surprising because even if they knew where you were taking them, they weren’t quite expecting what they found when you brought them there.
